SSP Gbl inaugurates office for PROANG at DPL Ganderbal | KNO

Srinagar, Nov 16 (KNO): In order to review the welfare measures and to redress the grievances of retired Police Officers, Senior Superintendent of Police (SSP) Ganderbal Nikhil Borkar inaugurated office for Police Retired Officers Association Non- Gazetted (PROANG) at DPL Ganderbal. Besides, held a meeting, in which various issues pertaining to them were discussed. A statement issued to the news agency—Kashmir News Observer (KNO) said that the meeting was also attended by DySP DAR DPL Ganderbal Muzaffar Jan and other Police officers. Representatives of the Police Retired Officers Association put forth various initiatives they have taken to uplift and also discussed pending issues pertaining to them. SSP Ganderbal thanked all the participants for sparing their valuable time and attending the meeting. He assured them that Police are always at their disposal and they are still part of the Police organization. It was also made clear in the meeting that retirees are always welcomed for their valuable suggestions and there is great respect for them in the Police organization as they have rendered a long service and toiled hard to earn a name for the organization. Moreover, the retirees raised various issues in the meeting. The chairing officer assured them that their demands/problems would be taken up at an appropriate level for their redressal. SSP Ganderbal during the meeting assured the participants that J&K Police is always at their disposal and asked them not to feel inaccessible. Further they were assured that they are still part of the Police organization and they can approach any Police officer or Police unit at any time. Later, Police Retired Officers Association wholeheartedly thanked SSP Ganderbal for operating the office for them with the assurance that such meetings will be held on regular basis in future—(KNO)
